I HAVE DECIDED TO BE BAPTIZED

Baptism is an important next step for every follower of Jesus.

Throughout the New Testament, when people put their faith in Jesus, they were baptized. Baptism is a public declaration that you belong to Jesus and a powerful picture of the new life you have received in Him.

When you are baptized, you are identifying with the death and resurrection of Jesus. Going under the water represents leaving your old life behind. Coming out of the water represents being raised to new life with Christ.

Baptism doesn’t mean you have everything figured out or that you have become perfect.

It means you have decided to follow Jesus.

And you’re ready to let others know.

WHY SHOULD I BE BAPTIZED?

Jesus Was Baptized

Jesus Himself was baptized, and as His followers, we follow His example.

Jesus Told Us to Be Baptized

Before Jesus returned to the Father, He told His followers to make disciples and baptize them.

Baptism Tells Your Story

Baptism is a visible picture of what Jesus has done in your life. Your old life is being left behind, and you are learning to walk in the new life Jesus gives.

AM I READY?

You don’t need to know everything about the Bible.

You don’t need to have your whole life together.

You don’t need to wait until you feel like a “good enough” Christian.

If you have decided to trust and follow Jesus, baptism is your next step.
